January 22, 2009. ETHICAL first meeting in Athens. The first meeting of ETHICAL consortium took place in Athens where the first elements of the ETHICAL project website and ETHICAL CIP were launched at the initial stages of the project and are hosted at the www.ethical-fp7.eu

February 19, 2009. EHTEL, as member of the ETHICAL Consortium, presented the scope and aims of the ETHICAL project in eHealth 2009, (www.ehealth2009.cz) at panel discussion between users' representatives on the thematic:"Key issues of the ethical use of eHealth towards building trust on eHealth solutions".

March 16-17, 2009. The second meeting of ETHICAL project was held in Berlin were among others, the first concept of the ETHICAL Knowledge Base Repository was presented. The ETHICAL Knowledge Base is a repository of digitized information emerged through the research and coordination mechanisms of ETHICAL project.

June 4-5, 2009. The third meeting of ETHICAL project was held in Athens the 4^th & 5^th June 2009. During this meeting, ETHICAL consortium defined the methodological details regarding the launch of parallel virtual discussions to the identified forum platforms of ETHICAL CIP, BioMedTalk and Sinapses.

November 9, 2009. Presentation of ETHICAL project scope and objectives at the “Global Governance of Science-Privacy" seminar in Brussels, organized by Governance and Ethics Unit.

December 10, 2009. The fourth meeting of ETHICAL project was held in Nicosia. During this meeting, ETHICAL partners had the chance to reflect on important issues emerged from the extended literature review on ethical implications on development of a unique identifier, potential data misuse and international standardisation of ETHICAL requirements.

March 9, 2010. Assignment of ETHICAL workshop "Ethical implications of the global use of digitised biomedical and biometric data" at the echallenges2010 conference on 27-29 October 2010. http://www.echallenges.org.

March 10-11, 2010. ETHICAL project meeting in Athens. During this meeting, ETHICAL project partners had the opportunity to define the details of the ETHICAL Delphi process and coordinate parallel discussion to relevant forum platforms.

April 23, 2010. Meeting of ETHICAL consortium members with the eHealth User Stakeholder Group (eHUSG) in Brussels. The goals of the meeting were to inform the eHUSG about the ETHICAL project, to obtain feedback on the questions ETHICAL has put forth for international debate, and to discuss ethical issues with experts in eHealth.

March 13, 2010. Launch of the ETHICAL project public discussion on BioMedTalk forum. ETHICAL project has established a permanent link within Biomedtalk which is under the administration and moderation of IBC, our partner in Ukraine. BioMedTalk Forum addresses a large audience of registered users, promoting an international virtual podium where issues raised by ETHICAL project will be discussed.

April 2010. Invitation of identified experts to participate to the International Dialogue on ethical implications of data collection, use and retention in medical and biometric applications. ETHICAL consortium has contacted and invited more than 100 experts from different countries to participate to the virtual expert consultation that will be structured as a Delphi process

June 9-10 2010. ETHICAL project meeting in Berlin. During the sixth regular project meeting, that was also attended by the ETHICAL project Officer Mr. Rene Von Schomberg. ETHICAL consortium evaluated the first results of the ongoing international dialogue at BioMedTalk forum and presented the overall strategy for the expert consultations through the Delphi online process and the commence of the parallel debates on the ETHICAL forum and SINAPSE platform.
